How You Can Help... There are lots of different ways that you can raise much needed money for Hopscotch and you probably have your own ideas, we have also listed a few suggestions below. Collection Pots – Why not request one of our collection pots for your workplace or ask in your local shops if they would be happy to have one. When permission has been given contact us and we can send you one of our collection boxes. Boot fair’s – Is there a boot fair local to you, if so why not take a pitch and raise money for Hopscotch. Many boot fair organisers will allow you to have your pitch free of charge if you are donating all proceeds to a charity. Supermarket Collections or Bag Packing – Contact your local shopping centre or supermarket and ask if you can organise a collection or bag pack in aid of Hopscotch. When you receive confirmation contact us and we can send you our collection boxes for the day. Sports Scratch Cards – Contact your local pub, club or society and ask if you can bring along a sports scratch card. Each card holds 40 rugby or football team names, you simply ask people to choose a team, pay £1 and then when the card is complete scratch off the top panel to see which team has won! Just let us know if you would prefer a rugby or football card and how many and we will post them on to you. Sponsorsed Events/Activities – Is there a sponsored event or activity that you would like to do? If it is not already mentioned on our website contact us and we can help you arrange it. We provide T-shirts, personalised sponsorship forms and posters to help you promote your event. Cake Sales – Organise a cake sale, no one can resist cake! Tabletop Sale – Everyone has something that they can donate for a tabletop sale, organise it at a local village hall, sports hall or meeting room and make a day of it. Why not sell handmade cakes and crafts too? Craft Sales – Organise a craft sale, you will be amazed at how many people will get involved. Hopscotch Competition – Why not have a giant hopscotch competition, everyone pays £1 to enter and the person that completes the grid in the shortest time wins… Good Old Sports Day – Try your luck with the egg and spoon race, three legged race, bean bag throwing, sack racing the possibilities are endless and great fun. Either invite individuals or make it a team event. Charge an entry fee or ask people to pay £1 for each race that they want to do. Very often the simple idea’s will raise as much money as a more elaborate plan. Keep things simple and your costs will be low too.
