Parachuting..

Parachute jumps are a fantastic experience and a wonderful way to raise money for Hopscotch.

It’s very easy, all you have to do is decide the type of jump that you would like to do, we have programmes with two parachute organisers and between them they operate at over 40 airfields across the UK.

Types of jumps available

Tandem Skydive – The jump and training are completed on the same day as your instructor will be with you at all times and will control your landing. Climb to between 10,000 & 12,000 feet where you will exit and begin to freefall until 5,000 when your tandem instructor will deploy the main parachute and your will begin your descent under canopy. This typically lasts between 4-6 minutes as you fly towards your landing area.
Raise a minimum of £400 and your tandem parachute jump will be free!

Static Line Square or RAPS – This jump is in two parts, your training takes place on a Saturday and your jump is on the Sunday. Full training is given so that you can make the solo parachute jump. It is called a static line jump because from the moment you step into the aircraft you will be securely attached to a 'static line' which is designed to automatically open your parachute for you as you exit the aircraft so that you can enjoy this fantastic experience to it’s fullest
Raise a minimum of £360 and your static line jump will be free!

Accelerated Freefall – Your first step to becoming a fully qualified sky diver. With this first level in the AFF course you will train for a skydive from up to 15,000 ft, jumping with two professional AFF instructors by your side. This first stage in AFF will see you exit the aircraft by yourself and after completing some in-air manoeuvres pull your own parachute to float gently to the ground. Once you have landed back on the drop zone and after a short debrief with your instructors that’s it – you are officially one step closer to becoming a qualified skydiver and being able to complete unlimited solo jumps any time you like!
Raise a minimum of £535 and your first Accelerated Freefall jump will be free!
